Long-distance musher · canine treatment

A life with the dogs.
A team built on trust.

Trollhusky is Lene Nyhus and a whole team of strong personalities on four paws. It is about good dog care, patient work and the joy of finding a shared rhythm.

This is Trollhusky

Different dogs.
One team.

A strong team is not built on the trail alone. It takes shape in the dog yard, on quiet training runs, through rehabilitation, play, calm meals and ordinary days when each dog is truly seen.

On the website, you can meet the dogs of Trollhusky — from experienced leaders to young dogs and puppies just beginning to find their place. A few photos will come later, but the dog profiles are gathered here.

Canine treatment

Better function.
Throughout a dog's life.

Lene offers treatment based on a careful assessment of each dog's function and movement. Every session is tailored to the individual dog and may include massage and joint mobilisation.

As a long-distance musher, I see each dog as an elite athlete, which calls for a holistic approach to every individual dog. To meet the demands of the trail, physical capacity, health and mental strength must all work together at their best.

The dogs

The engine, humour
and heart of Trollhusky.

They are experienced leaders, young prospects, tireless workers and clowns. No two are alike — and that is precisely why they work together.

Leader · born 2020

Skogens Kamik

Calm whenever he can be, uncompromising when it matters. The team's undisputed leader has finished every race in lead.

Lead dog · born 2023

Skogens Solo

Small in stature, big on speed and determination. Solo keeps taking new steps in lead.

Young dogs · born 2025

Trollhuskys K2 & Trollhuskys Dakota

Two promising troublemakers with smooth movement, cheerful spirits and truly enormous appetites.

The person behind it

Lene Nyhus

Behind every training plan, every night on the trail and every quiet moment in the dog yard is Lene — attentive to both the whole team and each individual dog.

For Lene, mushing is as much about relationships as results. She builds the team over time, with clear boundaries, patience and deep respect for what each dog needs.

the race bibs.

The visible race days are only a small part of the story. The rest is autumn training, mountain walks, puppies, rest, feeding and countless ordinary days together.
